Kennedy Leads Charge to Save Gusman

It took persuasion from Rosario Kennedy, former Miami City Commissioner and Honorary Chairperson of the Miami Film Festival, who invited Sylvester Stallone, the Film Festival’s International Chairman, to speak at the Commission Meeting and lend his support to the cause.  Rosario and Sylvester Stallone presented a check for $75,000 to Bobby Gusman (who receives on behalf of the “Friends of Gusman”) for the restoration of the historic theater. Stallone credits Rosario for convincing him to pledge the money.  “I became her friend the moment I met her”, says Stallone, “I became her fan when I saw her dedication and vision.”
